Concept & business model
We turn an idea into a business that can be run: who it serves, what it sells, how it earns, what it costs to operate and how it will be staffed. We design it as a team that runs businesses of its own.
What we define
The decisions that shape everything after them.
- Customer & proposition
- Who the business is for, the problem it solves for them and why they would switch.
- Offer & pricing logic
- What is sold, in what formats, and the reasoning behind each price point.
- Revenue model
- How money comes in (memberships, transactions, leases or services) and how it grows.
- Operating model
- Opening hours, service flow, suppliers and the systems that hold it together.
- Staffing structure
- The roles, shifts and skills the model needs on a normal day and a busy one.
- Experience brief
- The space, brand and customer journey the fit-out and launch team will work from.
How we work
Designed, priced and tested before it is built.
Workshop
We capture the idea, the ambition and the constraints you already know about.
Research
We check the idea against customers, competitors and comparable formats.
Model
We build the offer, pricing, operating model and staffing into one consistent plan.
Refine
We stress-test the plan and adjust it until the numbers and the operation agree.
Built to be run
A model that survives its first busy Friday.
Business models often look right in a spreadsheet and fail on the floor. Because we own and run gyms and cafés, including R Café inside Proxy Gym, we design for the day-to-day realities: queue times, shift handovers, supplier lead times and the cost of an empty hour.
Not sure the idea is viable yet? Start with a feasibility study.
