What we do · Operate

Operate: we run businesses day to day.

We run businesses day to day: people, suppliers, costs, customer experience and reporting. We do it for the businesses we own and for owners who want results without running the business themselves.

What operating covers

Everything that decides whether a business works on a normal Tuesday.

Management
Daily leadership, priorities and decisions on the floor.
People
Staffing levels, rotas, training and standards.
Suppliers & costs
Purchasing, supplier terms, stock and cost control.
Customer experience
Service standards, feedback and the details customers notice.
Reporting
Clear monthly reporting so owners see what is happening and why.
The next location
When the business is ready, a plan to open again.

Our own portfolio

We run businesses of our own.

We own and run RPM Gym in Al Manhal and Proxy Gym in Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi; Code 5 Gym in Al Qou’, Al Ain Region; and R Café inside Proxy Gym. We bring the same operating discipline to owners’ businesses as to our own.

Ways to engage

Full management, a turnaround, or a launch and handover.

Full management
We run the business on the owner’s behalf, against agreed objectives and reporting.
Turnaround
We step in for a defined period to fix an underperforming business. Performance turnaround
Launch & handover
We open the business, stabilise it and hand it over. Fit-out & launch

Questions

Questions we get asked

What is the difference between Operate and Manage?

Operate is the day-to-day running of businesses such as gyms, cafés and commercial property. Manage is corporate-level management of direction, administration and teams for companies and private institutions.

Do I keep ownership of my business if you operate it?

Yes. Operating a business for its owner does not require us to invest in it, although that can be discussed.

When should I hire a management company?

Our guide when to hire a management company sets out the signs and the questions to ask.

Want your business run well without running it yourself?

Describe the business, its current performance and what you need us to take on.
