What we do · Invest

Invest: our capital, alone or with partners.

New Line Investment puts its own capital into operating businesses, new ventures and commercial property in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, on its own or alongside partners, and stays involved after the investment is made.

What we look for

A clear rationale and long-term value.

We invest for long-term value, and we assess every opportunity against the same questions.

  • A clear strategic rationale: why this business, here and now.
  • A business we understand how to operate, or can learn to operate well.
  • Unit economics that work at a realistic level of demand.
  • A credible team, or a role for us in building one.
  • A location and market with room to grow.
  • A path to value that does not depend on a single optimistic assumption.

How we invest

From introduction to an active partnership.

  1. Introduction

You share the business or opportunity; a partner calls you back.

  2. Assessment

We test the market, the numbers, the team and the operating plan.

  3. Structure

We agree how we invest and what role we take after the deal.

  4. Partnership

We stay involved by operating, managing or advising, and we report regularly.

Active ownership

We operate what we invest in.

Our capital comes with operating experience. We own and run gyms and a café in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and have developed commercial properties in Al Ain, so the businesses we back can draw on teams that operate and manage businesses every day.
